38 Weeks and Counting!

I am 38 weeks and officially in "wait" mode. I had an appointment on Monday and found out nothing was progressing yet. My doctor mentioned that I'll probably go to my due date if not over. She also suggested to walk as much as possible so that's exactly what I have been doing. I have another appointment on Monday, at that time we will get a game plan put together. If Baby Mo hasn't arrived, we'll schedule an ultrasound at 40 weeks. We are so close!

Have a great weekend!!

Harper's Room is Finished!

Enjoy the pictures below of the finished baby room. I find myself randomly walking into her room just to look around. I am confident in saying this will be the most organized her room will be!

I decided to do a purple room because of the bear in the corner of this picture. I received this as a gift, along with the rest of my cousins, a few Christmas' ago from my aunt, Rosie. It is made from a shirt that my Grandma Girsch always used to wear. I thought it was fitting to include it as a very important part of Harper's room.

I found the letters at Wal Mart and painted them purple. This is the extent of my craftiness, my mom would be so proud! Brenda gave me the giraffe as a gift after we found out we were pregnant.

36 Weeks and Baby Showers

I am already 36 weeks, time has flown by. I can't believe that starting next week, I go in for appointments every week. We can't be more excited! I have been feeling pretty good, starting to get a little uncomfortable but we are so close! Harper is pretty active throughout the day, especially at night. She is face down so I am getting lots of kicks in my ribs.

The following are things I have learned/observed while being pregnant:
  • Strangers are so much nicer when you're pregnant, so many people have smiled at me and/or opened doors for me in the last eight months.
  • Total strangers don't think twice about telling me their very personal birth stories and touching my belly.
  • In a matter of minutes, I can be told "you're huge" or "you're so small!" I am believing the "huge" comments rather than being small.
  • I compare the baby to a fruit or veggie every week based on what my email says that I get from babyzone.com. This week she is the size of a crenshaw melon, whatever that is. Thankfully they always have a picture!
  • I never thought I could be so out of breath just walking up a flight of stairs or after a quick shopping trip. Yesterday I went grocery shopping and felt like I ran a half marathon after I got home.
  • I always thought pregnancy brain was a myth. So false!
  • At my last appointment, I saw a number on the scale that I never thought I would see in my life and it doesn't bother me one bit. I can't imagine the next appointment will bring!

This is a picture of all the football wives at my shower a few weeks ago. Thanks ladies!

My sister-in-law, Corey and mother-in-law, Sue at our shower in Montezuma. Tim and I had a blast spending the weekend with family!

This picture proves how excited Luke and Tim were to be at the baby shower.

Harper Ann Morrison :)

Baby Mo officially has a name...Harper Ann Morrison! Has a nice ring to it, doesn't it?! Harper was a name we heard on television one night and we both really liked. My mom and I both have the middle name Ann. She is also named after my aunt, Annamae Girsch, who passed away as a child.

I am currently 30 weeks already and feeling great. I am starting to feel like I am slowing down a bit but have the same energy level. I had a little scare last week as I found out I failed my hour long glucose blood test so I had to schedule the three hour blood test. I took that last Friday and, thankfully, passed that. I have my next appointment at 32 weeks and we get to have our second ultrasound at that time. I am counting down the days for that. The last ultrasound we had was at 20 weeks, we're excited to see her again. Baby Mo is kicking so much now. It actually startled me today as I jumped sitting at my desk because it was such a big kick. Keep them coming!

Tim has been busy painting and getting the baby room organized. We still have a few last minute things to add but it's close to being done!

Tim is pretty proud of his work :)

* Dream Big *

Roxy wanted to make an appearance!

My mom and dad gave this to us for Christmas. It should fit her by next fall's football season.

Harper received this hat from Pat, Corey, Logan and Luke Morrison. This hat will make another appearance in some newborn pictures. So cute!
These speak for themselves...doesn't get any better!

26 Weeks

I am officially 26 weeks along and time has flown by so far! Tim and I went to Babies R Us last weekend to pick out the Baby Morrison's crib and changing table/dresser. Those should arrive sometime this week. I am excited to start to get her room in order and organized! I have noticed that she has started to kick more and more lately. Especially after I eat peanut M&M's and listen to Christmas music!

We look forward to traveling home to spend time with family and friends!

Here are a few pictures of life lately....
